| DEATH BEFORE DISCO is steadily making a new
name for theirselves with their chaotic and metallic
noisecore, that reminds of CONVERGE and "until
your heart stops"-era CAVE IN... throw in
some POISON THE WELL and you can imagine what
we're talking about... Crazy hectic riffing, slow
sludgy parts, some extra female vocals, melodic
interludes, these kids pull it all off. File next
to Hydra Head records.
SEVERANCE go for a melodic, rock influenced
sound, while still retaining an angry feel.
Just like DBD these guys have been going for
some years and are now starting to make some
waves. Think of REFUSED, ABHINANDA (on their
later records), NINE and CIRCLE. Swedish in
short. Their songs are rather short and to the
point, melodic, yet rocking. One track features
Dries of CIRCLE fame on guest vocals.

| The Paper (B): Two new
Belgian bands, and very good ones! Death before disco
is the first band! They play music like Converge meets
Poison The Well! These kids put it all off, mosh parts
switch with beautifull song parts, chugga parts, it's
all in there! Secondly there's Severance! Think like
Grade meets As Friends Rust, so you know what to get
and they do it very good! Intense, emotional and catchy!
An essential split, maybe the best split of the year!
