In the summer of '95 the idea sprung
in the complex minds of Raf & Hans
to form a band. They already played a
while, Raf on guitars and Hans on the
drums. Several months later when Bart
(bass) came to join them Skool's out was
born and then they really hitted it off
and started their "star-debut"!
After rehearsing like hell for a year
or so, the moment had to come, their first
gig at a friend's birthday party. They
were extatic and so was the crowd.
From that moment on lots of shows followed,
some with well known bands as: Venerea,
Millencolin, Satanic Surfers, Intensity,
NRA, Skin of Tears and so on and so on...
and off course with numerous local high-quality
bands.
In the early days they played a fast,
melodic Propaghandi-Randy-No use for a
name-like punkrockstyle but when the years
went by they more developed into their
"true religion": powerpop with
a damn nasty hook!
In August 2000 they decided to take it
to the next level by forming a thighter
band. They asked Kurre the drumwizzard
(who played with the punkrockgods of Unsure)
to join them. Hans and Raf used to switch
lead and backing vocals, so now they're
able to concentrate on their own thing.
I asked them some time ago, what they
thought about their change. They said
to me and I quote: "It took some
time to get where we were going, but this
is who we are and this is the way we play".
