Once upon a time, there was a town in the Meuse River valley where the rock music scene had almost definitely passed away due to the lack of interest shown by the population.

Liège, January 1999. Mario, Laurent, Loic (all 3 from Ashtray - RIP), Nico and Sambo (both from Suck Down - RIP) willing to keep rocking against the grain of dead scene in southern Belgium set a brand new line up for a brand new band. Their music sounds like a blend of fast, melodic, emotional and catchy sounds, ideal for skateboarding videos soundtracks. If you're still wondering where does the band's name come from, then ask yourself what they would be doing in their spare time: pub culture & hanging out.. Part of the local punk scene, the band performs gigs in pubs and shared the bill with J Church and Citizen fish (both on Honest Don's) at "La Zone" in Liège.

So goes the first year. First strike. Heared in the Northen part of the country, gig organizers gave them the opportunity to cross the linguistic border. The boys go for a Belgian tour in 2000 with fellow Belgian bands as A 200 club, Flatcat and 5 Days Off. Nonetheless they also performed with Undeclinable, I Against I (both on Epitaph) and Snuff (Fat wreck Chords).

It's 2001. H'O appears on a V/A Fuck a goat records "Meet the shit people". Highly motivated on the idea to put out their own first demo, they record "More beer angel" at Roux studio. Once the demo spread, they began to be known as the instigators of a brand new scene in Liège. A few months later, the band performs in Verdun (France) at a skatepunk festival alongside Burning Heads (skatepunk legends from Orléans) and in fall 2001 with 59 Times the pain (Burning Heart).

Year 2002. Back in their hometown alongside with a commercial stream of new school punk rock, a real interrest seems to be showned by the population to "that" music, one day callled "punk rock", another day "skatepunk", melodic hardcore, ... A lot of gigs followed in Liège and suburbs as well as inspiration too, rehearsals began then to be more serious and more frequent..

Year 2003 was kind of different from all the past years, they performed much more shows and recorded a promo cd (My Own Way) which droves them to their first deal with a label. In fact, Hangin' Out is going to release a split cd together with Brave Like A Cowboy on Eye Spy Records. Time to go to the rehearsal room..."
