At the end of the millennium, a punkband with the most hilarious name of all times terrorized the Belgian punkrockscene. The New Kids With A Cock consisted of 2 Flatcat members and some local kids from Heist and Zeebrugge. They only played one show and shortly afterwards the Flatcat members decided to quit because their band was absorbing all their spare time. Kristof (singer/guitarplayer) and Filip (guitarplayer), two ex-members of The New Kids With A Cock', decided to continue on their own. Matthias, drummer and good pal, soon got involved in the project. Together they decided to continue as Brave Like A Cowboy.

Some songs were written and in early 2000 the band got the chance to present their material on a local gig. But there was a small problem, they had no bassplayer. Luckily they roped Maarten for the job. Their first gig was extremely funny. They played their entire set twice, Kristof accidentally bashed his head to a microphone and was bleeding all over the place! But the most important thing, were the good reactions to the music. However, somewhere in the spring of 2000, terrible events took place. Their rehearsalroom burned down, with all their material inside. But he story doesn't end here…

After a long summer of toiling and moiling, they finally got to buy new stuff and their rehearsal room got perfectly straightened out again. The band got back to work and a series of new songs were written. The reactions during the gigs got better and better and the group felt the time had come to come up with a demo. In September 2002 the necessary recordings were done and the following months were used for mixing. The demo was planned to be released somewhere around January 2003, but all sorts of problems delayed the release. After some time the band decided not to release the demo and use it only as promo stuff. But the biggest shock was about to come…

After 3 years of, Filip decided to quit. Because of personal goals and decisions, he couldn't be an active member of the band anymore. But nevertheless, he remains a close friend of the band. The search for a new guitarplayer ended quickly. Jasper, member of the melodic old-skool band Disengage, gladly agreed to be a cowboy. Recently the friendly people of Eye Spy, invited us to join their family. So now we're an Eye Spy band…safe. And so ladies and gentlemen, our tale has come to end.
